Why is this here?
These pages are being hosted here by Symi Dream, as we have the server and the space. This set of ancestry details is intended to be a resource for anyone researching the many families contained here. Some of the main line ancestor families are listed in the table of contents, but click the Index link to see all the names in our files. If anyone wants to get in touch to share or swap information, please see the CONTACTS PAGE

Essex parish registers
As well as the links below, there is a section of this site with details from the parish registers of various parishes around the Saffron Walden area of Essex, and of Harlow. These are for the various Collin families. As I go through the copies of available registers on SEAX I am adding in any references to 'Collin(s)' that I can see, and read. And some that are hard to read, so apologies for errors or mis-transcribing. If you want to search for yourself then I would start with THIS SEAX PAGE, provided by Essex County Council, and simply use the drop-down lists to find the parish. Not all books are available yet. Here's a tip: sometimes the page says 'image cannot be displayed' if you see that then try again later, as they often come back within a few minutes.

The Lists
The lists I have made here (click a parish to see what I have so far - these pages are being updated as and when I can) list dates, events and names, plus other notes when available. The ID Ref. Nos. are really for my own use, but if you notice a mistake please let me know and include the reference number. See the Contacts page for the email address to use. The 'Image & number' note refers to the image number for that book on SEAX. And feel free to copy the information, but remember it may not always be 100% accurate, I may have missed an entry, or not been able to read it etc. Use your 'back' button to return to this page, or click 'Home' in the top menu.

The list is now being built to include all parishes within a 10 mile radius of Saffron Walden, as per a Parish Locator report. Where a place name is not linked this means that a, in blue) there is no online record available to transcribe as yet, or b, in red) I found no Collin references in the book, perhaps because entries were unreadable.

Good luck in your searching!
